Each user selects exactly 4 golfers from the field before the tournament begins. You have a 100 bag value budget to spend across your team.
Strategy tip: Don't just pick the top-ranked players — at 40 bv each, two top-10 players can eat most of your budget. Find value in the 30-60 ranking range.
With 4 golfers on your team and 4 rounds to play, you activate 2 players each round. The Thursday/Friday split is locked in before the tournament — the weekend is flexible.

Before the tournament, select one of your 4 golfers as Captain and assign them to either Thursday or Friday.
If your captain shoots even par or better on their assigned day:
-3 Stroke Bonus
This is added to your total score — a massive advantage on the leaderboard.
If your captain shoots over par, no bonus — but no penalty either. The captain rule adds a high-stakes decision before every major.
After the cut is confirmed (end of Round 2), you may make one substitution — swap one of your 4 players for any other player who made the cut.
Using your substitution adds a fixed +3 strokes to your total score.
No matter when you use it or who you bring in:

You must stay within the bag budget when making a substitution. This is a strategic decision — only use it if the player you're bringing in is worth the penalty strokes.
Your score is based entirely on the real golf scores of your active players. Lower is better.
